The Peacegiver: James Ferrell is now my favorite LDS author. I LOVE his books. I LOVE the way he writes. He writes in a conversational tone between a wiser person and someone struggling (like we all are) and helps us see deeper into the gospel. I have so many "light bulb" moments when I read his books it makes me feel a little dumb. For those of us who are literal people and have a hard time with symbolism you will love his books.

The Pilgrimage: A Contemporary Quest for Ancient Wisdom: I love the book "The Alchemist" so I thought I would try another Paulo Coelho book. It is an interesting adventure. I would love to spend time on an adventure that literally takes you away from all the worldly things and stay out there long enough to have it seem like normal life. Spiritually the book is not "my cup of tea", but it still fascinates me. I would love to meet the author and pick his brain.

The Story of Edgar Sawtelle: Now let me state for the record I started reading this book before it became Oprah new book. I normally don't like books Oprah recommends, so I was surprised that she loved this so much. There are a lot of parallels between this book and Hamlet. If you love Hamlet, you will love this book. If you love a book about dogs and their relationship with us humans, you will love this book. If you love both, like I do, then it will be one of your favorite books ever!!

The thing I liked about The Peacegiver is that he used scripture examples that are not the commonly used ones to help illustrate the Atonement.
