Trip #4, Treasure Mountain - Girl's Camp 2008

Ahh, girl's camp. What is there to say about 150 screaming teenage girls in the woods! Do we really have to sing the Lemme song again?!! Why are all the songs about kissing boys anyway? Don't you just love all your new mosquito bites? They look so attractive - yuck! Running into spiderwebs in the dark. Bug Spray, more bug spray, and did I mention more bug spray!! Hard bunk beds. I think I'm still bruised on both hips from sleeping on these delightful bunks. Late night dating stories. No campfires - yea because most of California is on fire already! Having to scream insane songs just to get fed. Why do we have to sing about kissing boys, again. Being in the farthest Yurk (a funny shelter that houses 9 bunk beds, yet we had 19 people sleeping in it) away from all the main activities. Climbing the hill to get to all the activities more times a day than I like to count. Being dirtier than any human should be. Cows that thought 5:45AM was a good time to MOO really long and loud! (Is that the fire alarm?) Having fun with the most amazing 19 girls in the world (go GBIII)! Feeling the spirit. Being in God's beautiful creation. Being with the most amazing 19 girls in the world (go GBIII). Watching them grow and learn. Running to hug my husband when he showed up for bishop's night. Seeing Bob & Scott in their vests (hee-hee). Being almost the last person to leave camp (I know he'll show up eventually). Home sweet Home, Shower hot Shower, Bed soft Bed, Home sweet Home!!
